Dr Marianne Wood is a GP who has worked in Aboriginal Health for many years. She has a strong interest in chronic disease, particularly renal disease; and in “systems improvement”. She is currently the Public Health Medical Officer for the Aboriginal Health Council of WA (AHCWA) and the Liaison GP (Aboriginal Health) at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH).

In her RPH role she works with pharmacists, developing systems and “workarounds” to ensure the safe and timely discharge of Aboriginal patients living in remote and regional areas.
